harry potter, part iii
last friday, josh and i drove down to elliott bay bookstore for the harry potter 7 release party. thinking the party would be fun since the bookstore is amazing, we were disappointed to find the "party" was actually just a trivia contest. i have never been more excited to miss a question in my life for the sole reason that i proved to myself (and hopefully others around me) that i do have a life. i mean, these people really wanted a cardboard harry potter countdown pop-up (which i ended up winning, ha ha suckers!) between the 30-year-old guy behind me who kept asking his friend random trivia that no regularly obsessed person would know, and the know it all girl in front of me who was concerned about her spelling of fenrir greyback, i was getting annoyed. but i was convinced that my harry potter night was not going to be ruined, so josh i resorted to doing what we do best: making fun of people. we had a few good luna jokes, some malfoys and even a nicholas flamel. classic.
we ended up getting our book around 12:15 and i read the first chapter that night. saturday and sunday were devoted mostly to harry and the gang.
i'm realizing more with each day how much i liked it. though slow in parts, the end was simply amazing. i'm not going to say much here (because i could really go on and on and i don't want to ruin it for anyone), but how funny was it what mrs. weasley said bitch?
to read more of what j.k. wanted to put at the end, go here.
